DeviceNet Gateways

Stand-alone gateways providing DeviceNet connectivity to other protocols

1782-JDM

The DeviceNetâ„¢ to Modbus interface allows you to integrate serial Modbus slave devices into a Control system through a DeviceNet network. These gateways function as a DeviceNet adapter and support connection to a wide variety of serial Modbus devices through an RS-485, RS-232 or RS-422 port. The gateway is a general-purpose interface that enables exchanges of data between your PAC or PLC and the Modbus slave(s) devices through the DeviceNet scanner. All Modbus slave responses are passed without changing any of the data, which enables these gateways to be used in a wide variety of applications.

Comes with the standard two-year Western Reserve Controls warranty

1782-JDC (E)

The DeviceNet to ASCII interface allows you to connect and integrate ASCII devices into a Control system through a DeviceNet network. These gateways function as a DeviceNet adapter, and support connecting to a wide variety of serial ASCII devices through either the RS232 port or the RS485 port. The gateway is a general-purpose interface that exchanges data between ASCII device(s) and a DeviceNet scanner. This gateway does not interpret the data being exchanged so it may be of any nature or definition. The gateway couples simplicity with cost effectiveness enabling its use in a wide variety of applications. The 1782-JDCE-x offers enhanced (compared to the 1782-JDC-x) parameter options that provide data formatting options for additional control of:

  1. Serial port receive and transmit data from the ASCII device.
  2. Gateway send (produce) and receive (consume) data on DeviceNet from the scanner.

W5-JDC4

The DeviceNet to Four-Port ASCII gateway allows you to connect and integrate ASCII devices into a Control system through a DeviceNet network. This gateway functions as a DeviceNet adapter and supports connecting to a wide variety of serial ASCII devices through the four RS-232 ports. The gateway is a general-purpose interface that exchanges data between ASCII devices and a DeviceNet scanner. This flexible gateway can be used in many applications where ASCII data is needed since each application port can be individually configured. Further application flexibility is attained by not interpreting any of the data being exchanged, which means that data can be of any nature or definition.

1782-JDO-4

The DeviceNet to Optomux gateway connects existing Opto 22 Optomux I/O to a DeviceNet-based PAC/PLC. This approach saves significant project time and expenses by leveraging existing wiring and I/O. The gateway acts as a DeviceNet I/O slave and as an Optomux brain board scanner to easily integrate legacy Optomux I/O into the PLC or PAC.

1799WR-DASCII

The DeviceNet to ASCII OEM Module is a cost effective solution that provides a mechanism for moving ASCII data into your control system through a DeviceNet network. This interface card has been designed to be panel or DIN-rail mounted (DIN-rail brackets included) to an OEM machine enclosure. This flexible interface card can be used with any serial ASCII device that requires an RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 connection.
